Mercury Stations Retrograde Until April 25

In numerous sculptures from ancient Greece and Rome, the vitality of Aries is depicted through the image of a pure and gentle lamb. Hermes was revered as the guardian of this lamb. This significance is reflected in the elegant statues portraying a sleeping lamb nestled at Hermes' feet, as well as in various columns bearing the same motif found across mainland Greece and Ephesus, Turkey.

Mercury in Aries is special. It aligns with the mischievous god’s wittiness, cleverness, and impulsivity. 

Mercury stationed retrograde in Aries on April 1 at 6:15 PM EDT. This retrograde will start at 27 degrees Aries, extending its stay in this courageous, direct, individualistic, passionate fire sign, letting us internalize these characteristics and bringing back old issues or opportunities regarding these facets.

Aries is the search for a separate identity, finding enthusiasm that has yet to be curved by society. 

Mercury retrograde will be in close touch with the upcoming new moon solar eclipse in Aries. This eclipse is a north node eclipse conjunct Chiron, the wounded healer; with Mercury retrograde’s influence, we are given a new perspective related to an old issue. North Node eclipses are always about moving forward. If we look closely enough at this wound, we will reach where “we are meant to” be.

Mercury will be cazimi on April 11. We are consciously looking at old passions, interests, and opportunities we overlooked that wanted us to be brave and direct.

On April 15, Mercury is conjunct with Chiron. We are asked to look at past wounds related to our excessive idea of “individualism” and even “selfishness.” We are hearing our “Wounded Warrior.”

Around April 18, Mercury is pretty close to Venus. Old flings? Texts? Impulsive decisions regarding unfinished love?

Mercury turns direct on April 25. The day it stations retrograde, it is conjunct North Node one more time. Let’s take action. Let’s be brave.
